Generations Pie Company offers homemade baked pies using the freshest ingredients from our famous Grannie Suk's Sweet Potato pie to the delicious Hattie Leota's Sweet Apple pie.
Each pie is personalized with the name of the original baker of the recipe along with a brief story to tell. Each pie appeals to the heart and soul of the individual customer providing a unique "Food for the Soul" experience.

About me | Our story
Wow! Maria Johnson the OWNER of Generations Pie Company! Talking about a dream come true! For over 30 years, I have baked pies for family and friends who would always tell me, "You should do this for a living."
Throughout the years, I learned to embrace this entrepreneurship passion inherited from my father Eddie Woods Jr. I actually learned to bake from my Grandma Hattie Leota Overton Mann who made pies from scratch using fresh ingredients. At the time, I was trying to impress a boyfriend who later became my husband Michael! Although my family is originally from Big Rock, TN, I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN with my mother Yvonne Stovall and two sister Shari and Jan.
I graduated from Butler University with a business administration degree and an MBA from Anderson University. Although I worked as an Accountant, I took the plunge and started this company January 2016 which quickly become a hit at Market@Hague (Binford) farmers market in Indianapolis, IN. Our current locations for the summer are at the following farmers markets: Brownsburg, Carmel, Fishers, Irvington, Fortville and State House. Also pre-orders are available at our commerical kitchen GenKit.
It is with great pride and honor to share these delicious recipes from my past generations with you. I want to thank those who have paved the way before me. Most of all I give honor to God for the blessings and talent bestowed upon me to make this venture possible.
